The Dark Knight. - SPOILERS

I'm gonna skip the shit being hammered into our heads about how DK was the godsend of all comic book movies (as good as it was) and focus more on the stuff that really was kinda wonky with the movie.

While reading another forum, they mentioned just how goddamn incompetent the Gotham police were in the movie - Joker casually incapacitates Weurtz (during the party scene at Wayne's penthouse) (assuming that there was more than just ONE cop protecting the premises, where the most important and affluent of Gotham are attending, how did Joker+co get past all of em without a fuss?), takes out the honour guard pretty easily so they can kill the mayor (NO ONE noticed the strange, jokeresque facial scars on one of them?), and effortlessly escapes from GPD HQ because ONE COP WAS STUPID - (why didn't they just lock the interrogation room door and leave Joker there instead? Why did they have to post some guy IN THE SAME ROOM to watch him? Even if the cops did have to watch him, I thought it would have made a huge psychological difference to the guard if he was watching Joker from the other side of the glass and didn't have to interact directly with him). Another thing that was kinda weird was how Joker had a near endless supply of goons that would follow him anywhere, even if he plans to use them as human bombs. I know he likes to recruit the "crazies" cause they don't give a shit (yeah, right.), but c'mon

Anyone else found anything weird about the movie? As much as I liked it, it would have been better if the cops weren't braindead just to make the villian look cooler.

not weird, but corny. That little quote that was said in the end of the movie. When the police guy was talking to his kid, trying to sum up the movie and everything as though we are stupid and ending the movie with the final words "he's The dark knight"... <_< come on, this is not "First Knight" or "Quest for Camelot"... they should've just shown batman running and played a power ballad to create the dramatics rather than using a cliche summary <__<;

Gordon's quote seemed a little forced at first, but if you look at that scene closely, it was done intentionally so it looked like an ending of a comic book. Just try to imagine the scenes like they were panels instead of being in motion and you'll get the idea, and picture the things Gordon were saying as word bubbles up until the final part of the movie when he says "The Dark Knight", where you see Bats racing away on his batpod...

... but yeah, it did feel like Gordon suddenly turned into a goddamn Shakespeare character with his asinine, out-of-the-blue soliloquy.

Another stupid thing was the boats scene. No one ever went down to check the damn engine room for, I dunno, explosives. EVERYONE trusted the Joker when he said that the bridges out of the city were rigged. Hmm......

The Dark Knight was good,
And I mean good as in "Mmm, I enjoyed that. It was worth 10 dollars to see it on a big screen". Not good-"HOLY CRAP THAT WAS THE BEST MOVIE EVAR MADE!!!!11!!! EVERYWAN HAS TO SEE IT BECAUSE IT MAKES YOUR LIFES BETTERS!!!! WE ARE SO AWESOME AS HUMAN BEINGS FOR MAKING THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!eleven!!!!one!!!111!
There've been a lot of responses that I've read and seen that were like that, and frankly, after hearing all that I went in with really high expectations and was a bit dissapointed when it didn't live up. It was well done and all, but that's just it, it was well done; not super-mega-best-movie-in-the-history-of-ever-well done. I liked Batman Begins a whole lot better than I liked DK for various reasons. But mainly because they killed off all the bad guys that were in the movie. I hated that. Harvey got killed waaaaaay too quickly, and we didn't really get to see what drives him and makes him tick. Growing up Two-Face was my FAVOURITE Batman villan, next to the Joker, and they killed him like he was just some nobody bad guy. Another thing I couldn't stand was the way that the dude playing batman mumbled sooooo much and he tried to make is voice so much deeper than it could actually go, so it just ended up sounding like he had a rusty chainsaw trying to cut through some bolts in this throat. I did think that the joker was the most acurate protrayal of the character in all of the batman movies ever made, but that doesn't make it the huge thing that everyone thought it was.

Anything weird? How about the opening scene when Joker pulled out of the mob bank in front of another School bus and no one was like “WTF? A school bus with rubble on it”
The Dark Knight ending I liked the monologue especially since the whole conflict of Batman and Harvey’s characters. Them both being so opposite and they referred to Harvey throughout the movie as Gotham’s White knight.

In regards to the whole bomb thing, I agree with Krow should have had it but They probably just cut that out cause it was already a pretty long movie they really didn’t need a whole search the boat part to add on to the movie.

I loved the heath ledger's portrayal of the joker. He was so much darker then the comedic jokers we’ve seen before. Not true to the origins but I think Christopher Nolan’s version of the character pretty much was awesome with the more modern psychotic personality.
